Application Description
CHDS Media Connect is an iPhone and iPad compatible mobile app developed by the Center for Homeland Defense and Security. This app provides homeland security students and professionals with instant access to our growing library of educational media spanning a wide variety of homeland security-related topics. Videos are available in high-res and low-res formats, allowing content to be accessible even under constrained network conditions. The content is organized into four collections:
CLASSROOM VIDEOS
This collection contains popular lectures presented within the CHDS Master's degree program. Whether your interest lies in network warfare, the psychology of terrorism, synthetic biology or fusion centers, this extensive archive of fascinating presentations is only a touch away.
LECTURE MODULES
This collection is intended for anyone interested in:
• The patterns of catastrophes and their underlying causes
• Critical Infrastructure Protection
• Fundamentals of the US Intelligence Community and its role in homeland security and homeland defense
• Homeland security in other nations
• Technology for homeland security
• The unconventional threat to homeland security
• The basic tenets of academic research
