Chartres – La Porte Guillaume In Situ app proposes the reconstitution of one of the emblematic monuments of the town of Chartres : La Porte Guillaume. Almost entirely destroyed at the end of WWII, this town door and its barbican are subject of specific archaeological excavation since 2010.

As a result of a close cooperation between the Archaeology Department of Chartres and UTCHA, the application brings back to life the monument in 3D and leads you over the centuries to the discovery of its history.

Available in English and French, for the last generation of tablets and mobiles. The application is for all the family.

The app includes 3 immersive and fun experiences :
-Chronology : from ancient times to the present day, with amazing graphical rendering based on archaeological data.
- Architectural culmination of the site : enter in the heart of the barbican as if you were in the fifteenh century
- Today/before : the today archaeological remains at your feet, let appear the fifteenth century monument
