Application Description
This app provides a mobile way for the people of El Paso County to learn where to go to have their state and federal income tax return prepared free of charge with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance/Tax Counseling for the Elderly programs (VITA/TCE) provided by the Coalition for Family Economic
Progress (CFEP). Families and individuals whose gross income is less than $51,000 can use VITA. Military personnel &their families, Individuals with disabilities, and senior citizens can use TCE/AARP.
The places icon on the home page and the subheading Free Tax Prep contains a listing of all tax prep locations along dates and times of operation as well as turn-by-turn driving directions. The volunteer icon on the home page connects to the Coalition For Family Economic Progress' website where there is information about how the program works, who is involved, what to bring to the tax site, and about other services provided by the programs.
