You get paid to enter calories!!! courtesy of the Achievemint crowd funding service for rewarding healthy behaviour. Now you have no excuses! Why this calorie counter over another? Simplicity and very Rapid Calorie Entry, thats it.

I've had a few too many kebabs in my time... and when I say a few too many, well.. what I mean is that whilst trying all kind of new foods and ways to keep weight down I generally just end up washing them down with a pint. The only way I have ever found to curb this intake is to count calories, it works for me; but it does my head in. There are just better, more pleasurable uses for my brain than remembering numbers, so I made this Calorie Counter. It doesn't tell you everything you know already like how many calories you should be eating, because I know it already, I'm eating too much, thats why I'm counting calories. I don't need complicated body mass plots, I just need to eat a bit less. If you are expecting meal plans and stuff like that then download a different counter.

It's dead simple, no fancy plans and It does exactly what it needs to, and does it as quickly as possible. You have a wheelie thing to enter the numbers and you can change the date back through any of the last 30 days. You can get some basic stats out of it and you can also use iTunes File Sharing to export the data as .csv file so that you can load it up in your spreadsheet once you are back from raiding the fridge. The app is universal so you can use it on your iPad and your iPhone.

It deliberately stays away from letting you monitor weight, that has been my downfall many a time, I lose a kilo, see it and then eat a giant pizza to celebrate. If I see my calories drop low then usually I eat a bit more and it evens out at a decent level, rather than resulting in me going on a binge. If you really want to monitor your weight then there is a secondary counter that you can use for that.

Anyway, I hope you like it and it works to remove a bit of headache from your life as it is doing for me now as I test it, it is the simplest way to count calories that I can imagine, and avoid the pitfalls that I encounter.

I have added a couple of in app purchases for the non essentials, for those of you that want different input systems and want to input single units (perhaps if you are using this to count something other than calories) then there is the components bundle, and for those of you who want a graphical refresh from time to time then there is the skins bundle.
