The App uses a formula to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). Then based on your activity level and your weight goal it calculates your target Daily Calorie Intake.

If your goal is to lose weight, depending on your current Body Fat Percentage, you will lose on average 1-2 lbs a week. Naturally, if you have a much higher Body Fat Percentage then this number would be higher and vice versa. But on average 1-2 lbs a week is a good figure.
