## Join the Crowd-Sourced, Proactive Defense against Telemarketers ##

PLEASE READ THE BELOW CAREFULLY BEFORE DOWNLOADING THE APP.



## What Call Block Does ##

- It creates up to 5 contact(s) in your phone (named "CALL BLOCKed #1", etc) with lots of phone numbers of the most active telemarketers in your country. (thousands of #'s in the US, UK, China, HK and India. Smaller lists for many others.)
- It also allows you to update these contacts with the latest set of telemarketer numbers from our servers which continuously update.
- If you receive a telemarketing call from a number that is not on our system, you can report the number to us using the app. After verification, the number will be added to our servers and updated to all other users in your country.

(If you uninstall the app, please delete contacts named "CALL BLOCKed #".)

This app does NOT rely on iPhone's "Do Not Disturb" feature. Any apps using this feature will block ALL CALLS that are not on your contact's 'allowed' list or group.



## Muting the Telemarketers ##

After installation, please go to Contacts, find "CALL BLOCKed #" (there could be more than one), EDIT to change the CONTACT's ringtone to the least annoying one, such as "Note" and set Vibration to "None". This is necessary only ONCE per contact, as updates will not change these settings. (Each contact can hold thousands of numbers.) Apple does not allow apps to make changes like these.

We also recommend adding a silent "ringtone" to iPhone via iTunes and completely mute the contact(s) created by this app. Internet search for "silent ringtone iPhone" will show you simple steps.

NOW YOUR PHONE DOESN'T RINGS WHEN TELEMARKETERS CALL YOU.

Please do not add numbers directly to contact(s) created by the app. It will be overwritten on the next update. Instead, please report the number from the app which WILL add it to your device locally even if the number is not added to our servers. You can also "Allow a Number" from the app to remove a number from the black-list. This only affects your device.



## Countries Covered ##

Extensive lists of active telemarketer numbers in the US, Canada, UK, HK, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia & India. (small but growing lists for many other countries.)

If you live elsewhere, you can help us get started by downloading the app and sending us the first number, and the list on your phone will grow as more users join in your country.

Some annoying calls will still reach you before we can add them to our system. PLEASE REPORT THE NUMBER TO US so that we can PREVENT THAT CALLER from reaching other users.

The effectiveness of this app will improve as more users use the app to report ever-changing phone numbers of telemarketers.



## CAUTION ##

Please do not add contact(s) created by this app to iPhone’s "Blocked" list.

For privacy reasons, Apple does not allow third party apps to access the "Blocked" list, and it will not update when the app updates your contacts with the latest numbers. It will be messy to keep your "Blocked" list up to date manually.



## Notes ##

- If you have a list of numbers that annoyed you in the past, please email to us. We have a method of checking numbers for their recent activities and will add them to our system if appropriate.

- If you believe YOUR number is blacklisted in our system unjustly, please email us with name and number. We will contact you.

- IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE iPhones with Contacts sync'ed via iCloud, please install this app on ONLY ONE device.

- App needs calls to show their caller IDs to work.
