For example, when ByteCounter starts, both dials will start monitoring the amount of data being used. To measure the usage during a specific period, you can simply reset one of the dials. In other words, while one dial can monitor the data usage during an entire trip, the other dial can monitor how many bytes are necessary to upload a photo to Instagram. In this case, all you need to do is reset one dial when the trip starts and reset the other dial before you upload a photo.
