Backplane is an encrypted and password-protected app that gives business users secure access to documents in their SharePoint, Livelink, and EMC repositories from their iPad or iPhone.
Backplane leverages existing IT infrastructure, which eliminates the risks of the Cloud and the inefficiency of data replication. Control over the app, and its content, is centralized with IT. Backplane lets IT monitor traffic and purge documents remotely in case a device is lost or stolen. Because Backplane integrates with Active Directory no user provisioning is required.
