Application Description
This is the app version of HeaterShop.com's popular BTU calculator.
It has 2 modes, one for home/garage/office/recreation heaters and the other for construction/contractor-style heaters.
No internet connection required.
Get your answer instantly in 3 easy steps:
1. Tell it how many degrees warmer you want your space to be.
2. Enter the dimensions of the area you're looking to heat.
3. Estimate the quality of the insulation you have (outside/poor/average/great) and get a guide number calculated in both BTU and Watts.
Not sure about the quality of the insulation you have ?
Then "Average" is probably the correct answer, but it's no real problem, you can flick backwards and forwards between the various insulation grades and watch the BTU/Wattage calculation instantly update.
Next to the calculated result, there's even a link that will show you the types of heaters that meet your needs (although this link does require internet access).
Use the settings screen to select whether you're dealing with:
1. Feet (USA) or Meters (Europe).
2. Degrees in Fahrenheit (USA) or Celsius (Europe)
3. Contractor/Construction Mode or Non-construction heater mode.
The app saves all settings for the next time you run it.
