How Fast Is Your Break?
Break Speed Powered By Predator is the same software that was featured at the 2010 US Open 10-Ball Championships. The app was integrated into the broadcast and was used to provide the first-ever live break speeds for a professional event - and we did it with an iPhone!
Break Speed Powered By Predator is more than 10x the accuracy of a radar gun and is quickly becoming the standard for break shot speed measurements, privately and professionally.
To use the app, simply select your table size and cue-ball position and start a recording. A timer will be displayed giving you plenty of time to break. Tap the screen once again after your break to see your cue speed. Don't worry about others breaking around you while you're recording - our Break Recognition technology is really good about discerning your break from others.

Our collaboration with Predator has been very effective. It's been great to work with a team that understands the science of billiards. The Predator R&D team has been testing the application along side their own speed measurement equipment and the Iron Willie robot, following a number of testing sessions, the Predator R&D team found the application so accurate that a partnership in pool science began.
