★ About the Comic
‘Bout-one’ was South Korea’s first fighter pilot training program. When the Korean War started, South Korea’s air force was weaker than of North Korea’s and US aided South Korea with 10 fighter planes, F-51 Mustang and 10 fighter pilots were trained under the guidance of the US military. This comic guides us into those times of the Korean War by crossing back and forth from non-fiction to fiction.

★ About the Artist
Born in Jinju, Gyeongnam in 1974, the artist majored in Cartoon at Kongju Culture College. The artist won the JULY award for internet story-dramatizing Competition held by Digital Chosun and Netium Ltd., the silver award in story-dramatizing for the Cartoon Scenario Competition held by Seoul Animations. He settled his name as an air force cartoonist when prized in the Genre Cartoons Support Competition. He drew the series 〈Gonggam〉 for magazines, Aerospace and Korean Air Force Webzine. His main work are 〈Alamo〉 and 〈Bout-one 1.2〉.
