About the Author
Nationally-known travel expert Deb Geigis Berry grew up in Stoughton, Mass., about 20 miles south of Boston, and spent many childhood weekends in the city visiting grandparents, riding the Swan Boats in the Public Garden, noshing at Faneuil Hall Marketplace and shark-watching at the New England Aquarium.

A graduate of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Deb has served on the editorial staffs of Glamour, Northeast, and FamilyFun and has written adventure stories for Outside, Scouting, Parenting, and Country Living. In 2003, she and husband Bryan drove a 28-foot RV across country – with son Hudson, daughter Cady, and Deb’s parents in tow – to promote her guidebook, FamilyFun Vacation Guide: New England, and others in Disney’s travel series.

Deb has shared her tips for making family time special on The View, Live with Regis & Kelly, Good Morning America, CNN’s American Morning, and the Early Show. She and her family live in Windsor, Conn., with rescue cats Slinky and Maude.
