Boris Bikes is an app to help users find bikes and docking stations that makes full use of the Apple iPhone and its connectivity. Combining up to date information on the docking station locations and the positioning technology of the iPhone Boris Bikes knows exactly where you are, and where the nearest bike stations are.

There are around 340 bike stations in the city of London most of these are not in obvious places near the tourist attractions and transport links. With poor signage it is often difficult to find the nearest docking station. This is where Boris Bikes strengths lie. Just switch on the app and it will find your current position and then locate the nearest docking stations to you. Boris Bikes even knows how many bikes or empty docks are available at each docking station.

When you are riding on one of the bikes we keep track of the time that you have been cycling and issue a warning when you approach the end of your free period.

Boris Bikes will only work when you have an internet connection. Connectivity is required to download the current availability and maps.
