Boatfax Boat History
Summarized Boat History for recreational boats.
Enter the HIN (Hull Identification Number) of the boat. The format of the HIN will be checked. If HIN format is correct the Validation process will be enabled. If HIN passes Validation, the 'summarized' History report can be purchased.
Includes Free HIN Validation and Boat identifier.
HIN Validation will display Make/Brand, Year and Model (if available).
Globe will initially rotate to your current location.
Upon Validation, globe will show last recorded location of boat, if known.
‘Buy Report’ button will only be enabled if the HIN is successfully validated and an internet connection is available. Purchase of the 'summarized' History report is optional after HIN validation.

Where possible, a Boatfax Boat History Report will contain:
•Confirmation of Manufacturer information
•Ownership count.
•Whether boat is reported stolen.
•Major damage or accident information.
•Wrecked or salvaged information.
•Environment reports.
•Fire reports.
•Market valuation.
•Approximate location (if known).
Boat History reports are generated from worldwide information gathered from Registration authorities and agents, Police authorities, Manufacturers, Dealers, Brokers, Private and Commercial re-sellers. The history provided is an indication of the life use and ownership of the boat and should not be used as a substitute for an expert history report gained from a surveyor or via other appropriate means. Not all history is available for all boats. Some reports may contain little or no history. Boatfax and its related entities accept no liability in respect of the information contained within the report. Users should seek additional methods to verify the information provided.
Application requires internet connection via WiFi or WWAN. Warning message provided if device is not able to connect to internet or if only WWAN access is available. Slow or WWAN internet connection may delay display of information. If no internet access is available, ‘Buy History’ button will be disabled and HIN verification feature will not operate.
