This App provides a user-friendly interface to compare your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) to the amount of kilojoules you have consumed for the day.

This App provides two functions, the Kilojoules Counter, and the BMR calculator. Together these functions provide an easy-to-use interface to manage your kilojoules consumption. This App is designed for those that prefer to use the Metric system of measure. Look for the 'BMR vs. Daily Calories' App if you prefer an Imperial version of this App.

Note: This App (nor the author) makes no recommendations on the amount of kilojoules that is required or should be consumed per day. Seek medical/nutritional advice from a health professional or other reputable information resources if in doubt.

BMR calculator uses an industry standard mathematical formula to determine your BMR in kilojoules; it uses your height, weight, age and gender. To calculate your BMR simply enter your height in centimetres, weight in kilograms and age. Once that information has been entered, tap on a gender button to calculate your current BMR. The BMR calculator should be set before you commence your ‘Daily Kilojoules’ count. Make sure to regularly update the BMR calculator as your height, weight and age figures change over time.

The Kilojoule Counter provides the ability to count the number of kilojoules you have consumed for the day. The day’s total count is accumulated and displayed as your ‘Daily Kilojoules’. Kilojoule Counter also displays the BMR you previously calculated for a convenient comparison against your Daily Kilojoules count.

The Kilojoule Counter also provides the following,
- Reset your Daily Kilojoules count to zero (0).
- Subtract 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 or 500 kilojoules for when minor adjustments are required.
- Navigate to the BMR calculator.
- A Metric alternative to the 'BMR vs. Daily Calorie' App (another App by Pavko).
