Have you ever wanted to comment on a sign or billboard, but there was no one around to hear? Or wondered what this city block looked like 100 years ago? Have you ever wanted to share your favorite scenic view, walking route, or hidden spot? Did you ever want to share information that "you just had to be there" to appreciate?
Blopp is an iPhone app that is all about Being There.
Blopp App merges blogging with a GPS map, allowing you to drop information, musings, artwork or comedy at a specific location for others to read... but not until they get there! A Blopp is a blog entry that is dropped at a specific location on a map; the content of the blog can then only be read from that exact GPS location. With Blopp you know that every person who reads your entry will be standing in the same place you were when you wrote it!

Blopp is about Being There. Use the Blopp Map to hunt down Blopps that others have left in your neighborhood. Create new Blopps to record your thoughts about your favorite places. Comment on a billboard or your favorite view of the city. Share information about the architecture or history around you. Drop an image of what you found here. Or create a treasure hunt or walking tour by connecting a series of Blopps into a Bloopp, which is a connected loop of blog entries.
You can even optionally set a specific time-interval that your Blopp will be active, in case you only want these particular thoughts to be read from 8pm-10pm on Thursdays.
Follow your favorite Bloppers, and gain followers by offering funny, insightful or poignant musings about the world around you. Tag other users in private for-your-eyes-only Blopps. You can even share your Blopp locations via Twitter, Facebook, Text Message or Email, to invite your friends to get out and hunt down your hidden messages.
For best results, Blopp App requires a location-aware device with a continuous connection to the internet. Blopp is not meant to be used to post spam or advertise a business. Blopp cannot be used to post pornographic, harassing, dangerous or threatening images or information. These entries will be flagged and removed. A commercial version will be available soon.
