Application Description
Bloople is a community controlled high-tech warning system and drivers aid. Users can easily tag a Caution Zone with simple “One Touch” functionality which in turn alerts other users within the area without having to login, register or fill out details about the zone when submitting it.
Bloople also provides Emergency Services and Event Co-ordinators the ability to send location based Warnings and Notifications to users within specific areas.
Bloople zones evolve as users teach Bloople where these zones start and finish. Likewise, certain zones like traffic congestion will follow the line of traffic and shrink or disappear as the traffic dissipates.
Tagging School Zones is a fantastic way to remind users to take caution in these areas and these can be set to only notify you during appropriate times. As you approach an active School Zone, Bloople sends an alert to your device to Slow Down. This can be achieved for any school in any country!
To avoid false tagging, most zones including School Zones require multiple users to tag the zone before it becomes active. Again, Bloople will continue to learn the start and finish locations of these zones through user contributions.
Emergency Services and other authorities have the ability to send location based alerts to users. This is a useful tool in the case of Bushfires, Storms and Dangerous Weather Events as well as Major Traffic Incidents where various diversion routes can be recommended to drivers to minimise congestion. * Bushfire - Emergency Services can setup a Danger Zone on our Bloople Map. When drivers approach this area they will be alerted of the danger ahead and told to turn around.
* Major Storm - Weather Bureau can send an alert to all users within a specific area to evacuate and provide emergency contact details.
* Major Traffic Incident - Rather than all drivers trying to exit a highway at the same exit, the Traffic Authority can send different diversion routes along the highway where drivers can be asked to use different exit points. Drivers could even be advised to not enter the highway by setting up a zone around the entry ramp.
Event Co-ordinators can also utilise Bloople to notify attendees at their event. This may be an evacuation procedure at a sporting event or simply a heads up to attendees that a particular band is about to begin at a music festival. The opportunities are endless.
Because Bloople runs in the background, users can continue their day to day business and simply get a reminder to Slow Down or take Caution when appropriate. There is no need to have the app on the display which makes Bloople all the more convenient and reliable. Please note that Bloople requires access to the internet and location services on your device and continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
