Application Description
The bbApp is an application for mobile devices, such as tablets, whose aim is to make the individual and group work of musicians easier by means of digital sheet music.
The bbApp applies "pageless scrolling" technology which, in addition to avoiding paper, dispenses with the page format so the sheet music slides lineally in a continuous scroll from start to finish, just as the musician plays.
Among others, this functionality has the following characteristics:
- Automatic adjustment of the sheet music depending on the orientation of the tablet and zoom indicated by the user.
- Possibility of changing, even while playing, the pacing of the scroll.
- Lineal visualisation of the work in play mode avoiding jumps in repetitions.
- Uses sheet music in standard Music XML format.
Future versions will include the possibility of making annotations and functionalities related to group work such as sharing annotations and synchronising the visualisation of sheet music among different users.
