Application Description
Never miss a birthday again! Just run the application, authorize the facebook application and you are set!
You are in control.
By default the application saves the events into your default calendar, but you can select any other existing calendar on your iPhone. You don't want to save all your contacts birthdays? Easy enough select a group of friends based on your Facebook lists or select your friends one by one.
The application will show you which contacts have birthdays, and which had their birthday already imported in the calendar. And fear not! The application does not create duplicate entries in your calendar if you import an already existing birthday. So don't forget to run the application once in a while to make sure you have all friends' birthday.
Settings Screen description
Alarm section.
When "Repeat" is selected, the birthdays imported into your calendar repeat yearly, if it is not selected, they are imported for one time only.
The second selection let's you set the alarm to the event.
The third selection let's you edit the copy which will appear in the description field of the calendar entry.
Miscellaneous section
When "Post to Facebook" is checked, the application will post the results of the import process to your wall.
The second selection will lead you to a screen from which you can delete the calendar entries added by the application. We have added these option because of situations where a user might have uninstalled the application after inserting the calendar entries. This means that the application database did not reflect the fact that calendar entries had been inserted in the calendar.
The deletion comes in two flavors.
The first option will look into the application database only and try to remove matching calendar entries if there are any.
The second option will search the currently selected calendar for a given string appearing in the description field of calendar entries which take place on the same day as the birthdate of your Facebook friends. Be aware that this might delete entries unrelated to the Facebook birthdays if you specify some generic strings.
Note that you will be presented with the list of items to delete before the application actually deletes anything. So you can always change your mind.
Also note that the deletion can take a while to complete.
