BikeIt is a bikeshare app for Washington, DC's Capital Bikeshare system. Unlike other apps, BikeIt doesn't just show you a map of station availability - it also displays real time demand trends for both individual stations and neighborhoods overall.
Use trends to see the likelihood of bikes or docks being available by the time you arrive at a particular station. Know in advance if you'll need to find an alternate station.
BikeIt doesn't stop there: the app uses trend data to forecast bike and dock availability for up to 10 minutes into the future. Now you'll have the information to beat the crowds and find those free bikes and docks at rush hour.
