Application Description
BeamBending allows users to input beam dimensions and load. The load is applied in the center of the beam and the ends of the beam are assumed to be simply supported. Beam shapes available are I-Beam, Box Beam, Pipe, Channel, and Angle. Units can be toggled between metric and imperial. The application's output is the maximum bending stress in either psi or KPa. This is a great tool for ballpark beam estimation on the run. Especially for custom beam sizes.
