The annual report meets the legal obligations to report to the Federal Parliament on the results and activities of the Belgian Development Cooperation in the past year. Annually in a coherent way The report aims to reach everyone who is concerned with Belgian Development Cooperation.
The emphases of the Belgian Development Cooperation in 2013 are discussed in Part I.
As the following chapters are covered: the current state of affairs , policy coherence in relation to development objectives, thematic approaches and awareness and informing public opinion on the subject of development.

Part II discusses in detail the Belgian Development Cooperation in the field . Public Belgian development assistance in the current fiscal environment , geographical and humanitarian aid programs are presented in this chapter.

A current overview of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs ) , in particular an overview of the contribution of Belgium in "the fight against poverty and hunger" (MDG 1 ) and " primary education " ( MDG 2) are set out in part III.
