Application Description
Straight out of the San Francisco Bay Area, Bang Data is born in early 2008, bringing you a mix of slick and melodic guitar, gritty synth and bass, over banging electro-acoustic rhythms; making this the perfect canvas for Deuce Eclipse's bilingual rhymes and melodies. Bang Data's sound is a mash-up of styles combining hints of Latin, Reggae, Hip-Hop and Rock, triggering memories of music we once grew up with yet offering a futuristic vision of Latin Alternative music.
Bang Data are Deuce Eclipse on vocals and drummer/producer Juan Manuel Caipo. On stage, they are joined by Marco Guzman on bass, Paul Crespo on guitar. They deliver a live performance that is edgy, energetic and contagious; pushing the songs from their debut EP, Maldito Carnaval, even further. The group has performed with acts such as Calle 13, Ozomatli, Zion I, Natalia Lafourcade, Enanitos Verdes, Panteon Rococo and Chico Trujillo to name a few. The EP has special guest performances by Karl Perrazzo, from Santana, Steve Bradley from No Doubt and Amplive from Zion-I.
Maldito Carnaval was recorded and mixed by Caipo in Oakland, California and includes 7 songs that take you from a Samba-Ska-Cumbia and Electro-Bossanova to a Synth Bass Heavy "Stooges" infested beat.
Bang Data has launched highly anticipated album "Sopa" out in March 2012.
Maldito Carnaval and La Sopa are now available on iTunes, Amazon, Emusic, Rasputin Music, Amoeba Music and more.
