Baby's Here is an iPhone app designed specifically to take care of one of your first jobs as a new parent: sending out the birth announcement. While Baby's Here won't change diapers, nurse, or put your baby back to sleep, it will help you keep your eager friends and family up-to-date as soon as your baby arrives. By giving you the tools to send a message including birth details and photos quickly and easily.

Don't wait until you're in labor to get started!

Download this app early on so that you can get everything setup in advance. For the non-pregnant partners out there, this is a great way for you to help out. By taking responsibility for the birth announcement, you can reduce the stress on your pregnant loved one so she can focus on the baby!

IN ADVANCE

Select your recipients.

Simply pick them from your address book. If they aren't yet in your address book, now's a great time to add them, and get email addresses up to date. You'll be busy once the baby comes and grateful that your contact information is current.

Write your announcement.

You might be wondering how to write your announcement before the baby arrives. You want to include the baby's name, but you haven't chosen it yet. You want to include the birth weight, time, size, and more, but you can't know that yet!

Baby's Here includes an innovative announcement composer that lets you insert placeholders that are replaced with actual birth details once your baby arrives. You might think of this like writing a customized "Mad Libs" message for your birth announcement. And don't worry if this seems too complicated. As your baby is weighed and measured, take out your iPhone, open Baby's Here, and click the "About My Baby" button to record this precious information. This is also where you can enter your baby's name, birth time, and location. We've included an extra field for any other details you want to share in your announcement.

Take some photos!

Since you have your phone out, now's a good time to take some photos. These photos are just the first of many, but your baby will change so much in the first few weeks that these will always hold a special place as the very first pictures.
