AutoMate is an easy and convenient way to record your car maintenance details every time you see your favorite mechanic. Just whip out your iPhone, which you should be having with you all the time, and you can record away. By regularly saving the details of every maintenance service your car goes through and having a comprehensive history of its maintenance, you can better anticipate when your car needs to get into the workshop and what servicing or replacement of parts should be done to keep you car in tip-top condition. As always, driving a well maintained car gives you and your family peace of mind.
AutoMate prompts for your odometer reading regularly so that it may more accurately determine when is your next service appointment. You may skip entering the odometer reading for a couple of days but when you do enter it, we recommend that you consistently do so around the same time of the day, i.e. in the morning, so that calculation of the daily mileage can be more precise. A reminder is created when a new service record is saved with a valid next service odometer entry. Reminders are listed with an approximate target date.
When you send your car to the workshop, start the app and create a new service record. It is alright if you do not have all the details yet as you can edit the record later on. It is best to create the record at the workshop, especially if it is the first time you visit that workshop because its GPS location can be captured when the workshop details are saved.
AutoMate keeps a list of your visited workshops for easy selection and displays them annotated on the GPS map.
