Autism/Special Needs Daily Organiser
My name is Brooke and I am a mum/teacher who understands the depth of planning and preparation that goes into just a regular day in the life of a child on the Autism Spectrum or even the constant on the go lifestyle that any child brings. Having an autistic son of my own, I became sick and tired of routine boards and request boards and wanted an app to replace the clutter. I decided to have an app built as could not find another alternative that was engaging for my child and that could be used at home and at school. Edway App Studio has developed a visually interesting and engaging app, that would not only suit a child on the Autism Spectrum but that would suit a range of needs for children and adults alike with special needs. It is also a great planner for any busy mum/dad/guardian organising the kids.
The Autism/Special Needs Daily Organiser allows you to:
•Profile – you can create an individualised profile of each of the children in your household or class
•Daily Routine - create your own daily routine by creating activities; adding written prompts and uploading our own photographs to create a step-by-step visual of a particular activity. The daily routine moves in real time to show the current activity, what has passed and what it is to come. Activities can be repeated on particular days to avoid constant data input through the built in calendar – this feature is also great for teachers in establishing individualised timetables
•Food - create your own food board by uploading your own pictures of foods to create a request board
•I Feel - create your own feelings board by using the built in animations to communicate feelings
•Family - create your own important people board by uploading pictures of family members, friends and teachers to build familiarity and encourage requests
•Play - create your own play board by uploading pictures of toys or games as a request board
•I Want - create your own want board, this is a miscellaneous section to create a request board for items that do not fall into the family, food, feelings and play sections.
