Download Audubon’s new Hummingbirds at Home iPhone app, which makes it easy and fun to keep track of the hummingbirds you see while collecting data that helps Audubon scientists and researchers understand how to protect them.
Recent studies show that the blooming of hummingbird flowers and arrival of the hummingbirds in their breeding areas are out of sync. Help Audubon learn more about what is going on. This version of Hummingbirds at Home helps you set up a patch in your yard, garden, porch, window box, park – or just about anywhere – where you can do plant surveys to keep track of hummingbirds and what they feed on. You can also log sightings whenever you spot a hummingbird outside your patch. Then use your smart phone or computer to submit your data.
