Art Assistant was created to help artists get started on drawing. Almost every artist starts with a reference photo. They use the photo to make their pictures come out accurate and realistic. When starting these pictures, artists create a grid on the reference photo. They then draw the same grid on their canvas. Now as they draw they can match the grid cells on the canvas the grid cells of the reference photo.

Art Assistant makes it easy to add these grids to reference photos, and supports the following:
-Custom Grid Colors
-Custom Grid Opacity (or Alpha)
-Custom Grid Sizes
-Two types of grids (thin lines, and filled cells)
