Regular Past Tense verbs is designed by an experienced Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist targeting regular past tense for children aged 3-10.

The Iphone / Ipad app offers a fun motivational practice tool at an affordable price. With an accompanying adult (therapist, teacher, aide or parent) the app facilitates practice for 40 common regular past tense verbs (e.g. The girl kicked the ball; The boy jumped) in 4 simple rewarding modes.

The ‘Picture Practice’ mode allows the child to view each image and practice using a regular past tense word, phrase or sentence. Audio prompts can be used to model the correct past tense phrase. The child can then move through 3 other games practicing their skills in simple, rewarding tasks. These include ‘Memory Matching Game’ (2 levels of difficulty), ‘Balloon Pop’ and ‘Race to the Finish’. The simple uncluttered screen reduces distraction and assists in maintaining the child’s focus.

Verbs are separated into 4 groups of increasing difficulty, allowing targeted teaching. Alternatively the user can create their own groups from the verbs on offer.
