Application Description
Established in 2007 with more than one hundred films commissioned by Arts Council and Channel 4, the Animate Collection includes work by many of the key figures in contemporary British animation. New commissions and acquired films add to the Collection, building on its status as the primary living archive for artists' animation.
The Animate Collection app was created in celebration of the Collection's sixth anniversary, and features more than 200 groundbreaking animations made since 1990, including work by Run Wrake, Petra Freeman, Semiconductor, David Shrigley, Sarah Cox, Phil Mulloy and the Quay Brothers.
Animate Projects is the only arts charity in the UK to support and promote artists' animation. The Animate Collection is the foundation of the charity’s activity, and is an internationally renowned digital archive.
