The Alternative Food Cooperative, or 'The Co-op', as it is affectionately called, carries a full line of natural and organic foods, along with other green and eco-friendly products. We carry foods of exceptional quality, often grown by local farmers, sold at reasonable prices in a hometown atmosphere.

At the Co-op you can find all your food needs, grown and processed without the use of pesticides and chemicals. We offer natural and organic foods or eat in-or out-on our back deck overlooking the scenic Saugatucket River, delicious salads prepared by Christine, every day until 2 pm. High quality nutritional supplements, home and health products are available as well. On Friday afternoons the Co-op offers very fresh and locally caught seafood from 'The Local Catch' a South County commercial fisherman's cooperative.
