Application Description
AlgApp is an education tool that demonstrates (i) the influence of location (i.e. climate), design, and operation on productivity and other key outputs of outdoor algae cultivation in raceway ponds, and (ii) the opportunity to use waste streams to support algal growth.
The features of AlgApp are:
* The Algal Raceway Simulator, where you can simulate algal productivity, water demand and temperature constraints as a function of key operating parameters (HRT, Depth and Water Recycle) at selected locations around the world.
* A study into the production of Algae from Waste in Queensland, where you can scan a map that shows how much algae could be grown at locations in Queensland (Australia) based on available waste nutrients and CO2.
