Easy to use application to visualize time, people with autism struggle to understand intervals creating a problem that makes organization and knowing when the next event will take place difficult to understand.
Many people with autism struggle with phrases such as "soon". although we have learned to measure it, time is intangible ; we cannot see it. Many people with ASD and throughout the spectrum of learning disabilities have difficulties understanding the difference between "now" and "not now" and time measurements such as "5 minutes"
Activity Timer is a visual representation of the intervals between activities, a timer can be set which resembles half of a traditional clock face, but without the number. When the timer finishes it arrives at a photographical representation of the activity. The photo can be taken by teacher, parent or carer they can then set the length of time until the next activity, and do this as many times as they wish throughout the day.
