Though this application is named as Aathichoodi, this application has a collection of Tamil literatures written by Auvaiyar II during Chola period, which include Aathichoodi, Kondrai Vendhan, Moodhurai, Naalvazhi.

With Unicode e-Text support from Project Madurai, I have developed this edition as a book application for users worldwide.

About Auvaiyar :

Auvaiyar was the name of more than one poet who was active during different periods of old tamil literature, among them, Auvaiyar I lived during the 1st and 2nd century, SANGAM period who wrote 59 poems in Purananooru

Auvaiyar II lived during the period of Kambar, in 13th Century The Cholas period . She is often imagined as an old but intelligent lady primarily referred as Auvai.
She found great happiness in the life of small children. Her works, Aathichoodi, Kondrai Vendhan, Moodhurai and NaalVazhi, These literatures are truly meant for children to follow the way of life.
