Shigeru Aoba, a Musashidai-High school student, was inspired to play soccer by a notebook left by his late father, a striker for the Japanese team. Shigeru, who can barely kick a ball establishes himself as a great player with his efforts, tenacity, and single-mindedness and goes on to play in the World Cup.
