broadcast stations in the United States. Former Kansas Governor and U.S.
Senator Arthur Capper brought the station on the air May 8, 1927 from
the Jayhawk Theatre in Topeka, Kansas.

Today 580 WIBW touts the nations 10th largest signal, covering the state
of Kansas and reaching into 4 surrounding states (Nebraska, Iowa,
Missouri and Oklahoma). The Station features a full-time news, farm and
sports staff with full time meteorologist Dave Relihan.

580 WIBW provides locally produced talk and sports shows like On the Other Hand
with Raubin Pierce and Megan Mosack, Sports Sanity with Bruce
Steinbrock, and Sports Talk with Mark Elliott. Providing award winning
news and agriculture information affecting listeners around the Midwest

also the flagship for the Kansas Radio Network which includes the Kansas
Agriculture Network as well as the Kansas Information Network with
