STORIES OVERVIEW:
Journey to the West is one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. It is a mythological novel based on many centuries of popular tradition. Journey to the West 6 is the story collection of Journey to the West with Pictures series. There are five stories: The Bottomless Cave, The Silly Emperor, The Interlink Cave, The Jade Rabbit, and Fetching the Holy Scriptures.
★The Bottomless Cave: Tang Seng and his disciples saved a girl in a black pine forest, but the girl was the Mouse Demon. She captured Tang Seng and forced him to marry her. With the help of Pagoda Li and some heavenly soldiers, Wu Kong captured the Mouse Demon and rescued Tans Seng.
★The Silly Emperor: Tang Seng and his disciples arrived at Miefa country. The emperor of the country wanted to kill 10000 monks. While the people in the palace were sleeping, Wu Kong shaved all their hair off. Then the emperor never killed monks from now on.
★The Interlink Cave: On the way, Tang Seng and his disciples felt into a trap by old demon. Tang Seng was captured into Interlink Cave. Wu Kong defeated the demons, and rescued his master.
★The Jade Rabbit: In Shewei Country, they encountered the princess of Tianzhu country, who had been blown away by a gale. Tang Seng and his disciples went to the Tianzhu country and defeated the fake princess. The demon turned out to be a Jade Rabbit from Guanghan Palace.
★Fetching the Holy Scriptures: Finally, Tang Seng and his disciples arrived at the Spirit Mountain and got the scriptures. But they suddenly found the scriptures were blank. They went back to get the scriptures and the 8 Warrior Attendants sent them back to Chang’an. Tang Seng handed in the Holy Scriptures to the emperor. And ever since then, Tang Seng and all his disciples were immortals living in Heaven!
