James Spata was born with a passion for quality Italian food. This passion stemmed from his long Italian heritage and many years learning secret family recipes in his grandmother’s kitchen. Having a desire to join his love of Italian food and business, James purchased Valeo’s Pizza Kitchen in 1973 from Sam Valeo, as a family owned and operated local pizzeria.
With a promise to Sam and a love of the Kenosha community, James used his passion for creating quality Italian food to build a legacy of providing great food with the purpose of giving back to the community around him.
Valeo’s is truly a family owned and operated business. James and Lyla Spata raised all of their 5 children in the restaurant, instilling an ethos of hard work and a desire to serve those around them.
In the fall of 2012, James’ dream came true by passing the Valeo’s legacy on to his son, Eric Spata. Following in his father’s footsteps, Eric continues to foster his love of Italian food and business by ensuring high standards in the kitchen and unparalleled customer service.
Our slogan is “from our family to yours” which goes far beyond our recipes. Our family is full of traditions and memories that inspire us to this very day. We believe that creating memories is important to every family. So while we take pride in providing our recipes to your family, we also strive to create an atmosphere around each table where memories can be made.
Our purpose at Valeo’s is to bring people together by serving quality, homemade Italian food; to invest in our community; and to be a blessing to those around us.
Our menu if full of Italian inspired homemade recipes that was born from long standing family traditions. Our recipes are made daily using the freshest ingredients available.
We are proud that Valeo’s is Kenosha’s award-winning pizza delivery restaurant, serving Kenosha County between Interstate 94 and the lake. We take pride in our community by giving back every day through dozens of different charities and organizations.
