From the makers of London Cycle: Maps & Routes, comes Travel Refunds. This is an incredibly useful app that allows you to claim back a refund from the Transport for London when you have been delayed on the London Underground (the Tube), the DLR or the London Overground.

This app is basically a money printing machine, as more often than not, there is a delay when you are commuting anywhere in London via public transport. Whenever you experience a delay greater than 15 mins (for Tube/DLR) or greater than 30 mins (Overground), you can just whip out this app and quickly claim back a full refund for your single journey from TfL. If your claim is verified and approved by TfL, you will receive a refund in the post in about 21 days.

The app also features a 'Claim History' screen so that you can keep track of your previously submitted claims.

Please note the following while claiming a refund:

You can only make a claim if your train is delayed by more than 15 minutes for reasons within TfL's control.

- How much TfL refunds:

Tfl gives a voucher matching what you paid for the single delayed journey.

- When TfL doesn't give a refund:

If the delay is beyond TfL's control such as security alerts, third party action or bad weather.

For service changes advertised in advance, prior to making your journey.

- Getting your refund:

It normally takes 21 days to process a refund. If you haven’t heard from TfL after 21 days, contact Oyster Customer Service Centre on 0845 330 9876 (08:00 - 20:00, 7 days a week)
You must claim within 14 days of the delay or you won't get a refund.

If you didn’t receive the amount you were expecting, contact the Oyster Customer Service Centre 0845 330 9876 (08:00-20:00, 7 days a week)

Note: All claims can be investigated and legal action can be taken against anyone making fraudulent claims. Unfortunately, Freedom Pass and other free travel pass-holders are not entitled to refunds.
