iSkate lets you play real world "Game of SKATE" on your iPhone!
It connects Skateboarders, BMX riders, Inline Skaters and scooter riders from all around the world to challenge each other. It's a game made for riders by riders!
Why would skaters use iSkate?
A lot of skaters and riders get bored of doing the same tricks over and over again. Some skaters tend to solve this issue by playing a game called "Game of SKATE". With iSkate, you will be able to play "Game of SKATE" anytime/anywhere with anyone around the world instead of playing with the same old friends from your local skatepark. It'll also let you try new tricks that you've never tried before.
Where did this idea come from?
When my friend came back from Switzerland last summer he told me about a skatepark that offers free drinks to skaters who can grind a very long ledge. My friend is a pretty good Inline skater so he managed to grind that ledge three times. When he told me about this idea, I came up with an app concept that gives users real rewards for landing tricks. I started searching the web to see if that concept is even possible. Later on, I discovered Kiip; a rewards network that allows iOS game developers to integrate real-world rewards for virtual achievements made within their games. After a couple of days of brain storming, the idea of iSkate was developed; a real world "Game of SKATE" on the iPhone with real rewards.
Who am I?
My name is Abdulrahman AlZanki, I'm a 17 year old iPhone developer from Kuwait. I also happen to be a Scooter rider. I started developing iPhone games two years ago. My most successful app "Doodle Destroy" was downloaded more than one million times! It was featured on CNN and New York Times. I've been passionate about extreme sports for 4 years, especially Inline Skating, BMX riding and scootering.
