Hohner announces the introduction of a series of revolutionary new apps for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch: The Hohner SqueezeBox.

Mimicking the layout of Hohner's iconic Corona Classic diatonic accordion, these intuitive virtual accordion apps feature a super responsive, three-row fingerboard that plays and sounds like the traditional instrument.

The Hohner SqueezeBox apps allow musicians to practice chord combinations, scales, and songs on-the-go in five different key combinations and colors. Headphones can be used for private practice, or the audio output of the virtual accordion can be amplified by plugging into computer speakers, or other sound enhancing devices.

Players may select to have the pitch names displayed on the large white pearloid buttons. With the touch of a button, the tonality can be changed from "wet tuning" giving an animated sound, to "dry tuning".

The new tablature display is a great way to learn songs! Now includes lessons and over 100 songs in tablature format provided by Francisco (Paco) Rios and Gilbert Reyes from reyesaccordions.com.

This app is ideal for the beginning student or professional musician who needs a simple carry-on companion to compliment his or her actual accordion. While not meant to be a replacement for a real accordion, the app is a convenient and easy tool for practicing, learning, or teaching.

GCF is commonly used for Tex-Mex, Conjunto, Norteño, Zydeco, Cajun, Vallenato, and French Canadian.

Be sure to check out the "Real Players, Real Music" videos on the app website.

Want to play in all the keys? Download all five Hohner SqueezeBox apps: Hohner-GCF, Hohner-FBbEb, Hohner-EAD, Hohner-ADG, and Hohner-BbEbAb.

Hohner-GCF Mini, Hohner-FBbEb Mini, and Hohner-EAD Mini are also available for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Q: I'm not hearing any sound, help!

A: Make sure that the mute switch on your device is turned off.

In iOS4.2, the mute switch is the physical switch on the corner of the iPad. In iOS4.3+, you can select between orientation lock or mute for the switch on the device. If you've set the iPad for orientation lock on the switch, then the mute is on the far left side of the task bar, double click the home button and then slide the task bar all the way to the left.

Q: When I put four fingers on the screen, the sound stops.

A: You must disable "Multitasking Gestures" in the iPad Settings to use many of my iPad apps.

Apple's gestures take over once three fingers are on the screen, so you need to disable them.

Q: I just updated my iPad to iOS 6.0.1 and none of your apps make any sound!

A: Apple messed up the Mute/Orientation switch state in the update. Please visit this site for a simple fix:
