This is the first in a series of books about Bailey (a golden retriever). His stories explain values and experiences and how he learns lessons for these things. Bailey learns about people of different types, through growing up with the family's son Eddie and others. In this story he learns love after many new important things about life in his new family, We get to enjoy his positive way of learning and the fun he has with the family and friends. He has many adventures we laugh and learn by. We also learn some new fears and how he feels safe about them.

Many of the pages have an optional “Paint Me” feature for children to finger paint the pages and create their own custom version of the book.
