This immunology app is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of how your immune system protects you from the myriad disease-causing agents encountered on a daily basis.

It introduces the user to a brief history of how the immune system was discovered, the elegant strategies it uses to recognize and eliminate foreign pathogens from our body, and the disastrous consequences that result when our immune system turns against us.

The last unit describes how the concepts introduced herein can be applied to analytical techniques used for immunological research and development in the laboratory. This study app is based on the most current knowledge-base of the ever-evolving study of the human immune system.

Lou Devlin earned his BS in microbiology, his MS in biology, and is currently working towards obtaining his MBA. He has taught human anatomy and physiology at the collegiate level for 5 years.

In addition to his teaching credentials, Lou is currently employed as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry where he utilizes the laws of immunology to advance innovation in research and development.
