A magazine of a new generation, this is the Italian version with parallel text in English of an international, quarterly magazine dedicated entirely to watchmaking and founded ten years ago in Geneva with the authoritative, elegant and modern character that has determined its success.

GMT Italian Edition aims to act as a new point of reference for themes affecting the industry of time.

Watches will always be the protagonists and will often appear within a broader framework of image and culture, to prevent a self-serving study of their innards, as often happens, and instead open up vistas on to those worlds that have always been associated with time, such as geography, history, art, design, architecture, fashion, sport, travel, collecting, lifestyles, exploration, trade, research, economics, science, trades and technology.

GMT Italian Edition will seek not to exacerbate the struggles effected in the pursuit of precision at all costs, but instead communicate the
joy and beauty of the design and enjoyment of the watch as object, not as a commodity, but as an emotive asset.
We do not wish to define ourselves a niche or trade periodical, but communicate a sense of belonging to that same sense of emotion with
which planners, designers and craftsmen make their watches. Certainly, the landscape of trade periodicals is a crowded one, but

GMT Italian Edition does not aim to overlap with what already exists. Rather, it will try to fill spaces left free, for which the time seems ripe to express not a watchmaking world that is imploding, obsessed with technical research and aesthetic redundancy, with the dusty weight of historic legacies or the rhetoric of corporate information, but that visionary though tightly-controlled universe that lies at the base of all the ordinary extraordinary nature of every timepiece.
