97LAV is Grand Rapids' only Classic Rock station with nearly 40 years on the air playing West Michigan's Favorite music. In 2008 WLAV received the National Association of Broadcasters prestigious Marconi award for Best Station. The morning kicks off with the Kevin Matthews morning show, 5am to 10am & features Ed "Uncle Buck" Buchanan & Warren Kluck. Uncle Buck keeps you updated with the latest news head lines, Jimmy Shorts reports on sports, regular traffic updates keep you in tune with issues on the road to work, all that and Kev's famous space alien Devon, with Devon's word of the day. Tony Gates gets you through lunch with the Rock-n-Roll diner & the daily blue plate special, a different featured artist every weekday. In 2008 Tony won the prestigious National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Award for Best Radio personality. Rob Brandt gets you home with the 4:20 funnies & the 5 O'clock happy hour.
