Hello and Welcome to Charley's Popcorn!
My name is Charley Lee and I’m a fourth grade Cub Scout in Pack 56, based in Long Grove IL. For fun, I like to code (I started in Codecademy and Scratch), play sports (Baseball and Football are my favorites) and make items (Minecraft t-shirts and rainbow looms) to sell to my friends. I also like to surf Youtube for Minecraft and college football highlights.
I’m currently selling popcorn for the Cub Scouts. All of the money we receive goes to programs and activities for my local pack. This is my fourth year of doing scouts and selling popcorn. Last year I couldn’t sell popcorn because I had surgery to correct my heart defect. Now that I’m healthy again, my family wants me to break the record for most popcorn ever sold in one season - $21K!
I’ve sold as much as $2275 in previous years, going door to door in my neighborhood and sometimes even to my dad’s office to sell popcorn. My dad, who’s an investor in technology companies, told me that there’s no way I can break the record selling that way. So, I’m listening to his advice and I set up a website to sell popcorn to you over the internet!
