معرفی برنامه

مجموعه سایمنری نخستین فرهنگ کوچک نرم افزاری پویای زبان انگلیسی است که برای نوآموزان زبان انگلیسی تدوین شده است. گروهی از زبان شناسان، متخصصین و اساتید آموزش زبان انگلیسی دانشگاه آکسفورد مجموعه ای از واژگان – حدود 3500 واژه – را به عنوان واژگان پایه زبان انگلیسی ارائه کردند که برای غیر انگلیسی زبانان جهت برقراری ارتباط در زمینه های غیر تخصصی کافی است. این مجموعه توسط گروهی ازاساتید و متخصصین آموزش زبان به سرپرستی کوروش کریمی از دانشگاه اگزتر انگلستان برای گویندگان شش زبان فارسی، عربی، فرانسه، آلمانی، اسپانیایی، و چینی تدوین شده است. این مجموعه شامل واژگان، تلفظ گویای آمریکایی، توضیح، معنا، و مثال است. آزمون های متعددی برای هر مجموعه از واژگان تدارک دیده شده است تا فراگیران بتوانند پس از فراگیری واژگان خود را محک بزنند. جستجوگری نیز برای جستجوی همزمان روی شبکه تارنمای جهانی وب نیز فراهم شده است تا علاقمندان بتوانند واژگان دیگری که در مجموعه وجود دارد و معنای آن برای ایشان آشنا نیست یا واژگان تازه را جستجو کنند. همچنین فراگیران می توانند واژگان مورد نظر خود را با استفاده از بخش "افزودن واژگان" در بخشی مجزا به این فرهنگ بیافزایند.
برنامه نرم افزاری این مجموعه توسط گروهی از متخصصین نرم افزار و اساتید کامپیوتر و برنامه نویسان به سرپرستی پیمان حقیقت انجام شده است. در این برنامه ظرافت های برنامه نویسی نوین کامپیوتری جهت علمی تخصصی بودن و در عین حال سادگی استفاده توسط کابران رعایت شده است. جدیدترین روش های برنامه نویسی جهت همسان سازی برنامه با ابزارهای مختلف، به کار گرفته شده تا این مجموعه به لحاظ فنی و تخصصی به تائید کارشناسان از بهترین برنامه های موجود برای تلفن های هوشمند و سایر ابزارهای استفاده از برنامه های نرم افزاری باشد.

After several years of observation and investigation, Oxford University released a list of words which are the most basic in English language and are enough for non-native speakers of English to communicate with ease in non-technical areas of language. A group of English language professors and methodologists have developed this set of words, named “Word Basic” or “WBasic” shortly.

The "WBasic" package is furnished with phonetic pronunciation, voice format pronunciation, achievement tests, progress report, ‘add your own words’ option, and a web browser to check what you need on the spot.

Every single word is provided with clear elaboration, and a meaning in the target language. In cases where more than one meaning was deemed by CYMANARY team as important, the second, third, and sometimes even fourth and fifth meaning of the words are given. Standard American pronunciation, in written phonetic and audio format are presented for you to correctly learn the pronunciation of the words and match the written language with the spoken one - real human voice (not synthesized voice).

“WBasic” is now available in several languages for FREE in Lite version – including 100 words – and in Full version, embracing an astonishing number of almost 3500 words!

The Origin of Cymanary

This language learning package was initially created by Cyrus )Kourosh) Karimi, a graduate of University of Exeter, UK, and technically developed by Peiman Haghighat, a graduate of Computer Engineering and a faculty member of a UAE based university.

Taken from the names of the creators of the package, Cymanary is a blend of Cyrus and Peiman, yet sparing the word beginning “cy” which indicates the ‘cyber’ nature of the program; needless to say that the suffix –ary indicates the category of the package, i.e. dictionary.
