Application Description
Overview:
RxCircle is a mobile based application for iOS user. This app can be used in IPhone 4 and above, and IPod touch 5 and above. This is a unique application for doctors ( and can be extended to any healthcare service provider) to have their up-to-date schedule across various visiting facilities /locations. It provides a consolidated view across various locations so that doctors can manage and plan their day well to ensure scheduled patient appointments are attended to.
Detailed Description:
RxCircle provides on demand download of appointments from the host application at anytime to ensure that doctors see their latest schedule. This application provides a monthly view of appointments across various locations.
Doctors can download their schedules with an easy to use and simple user interface. Once doctors enters their user credentials and clicks the 'Download Schedule' button, the application validates the user and if authenticates, downloads the latest appointment schedule and updates the mobile calendar with the latest information. The monthly view has indication (.) in the date window to indicate appointments exists or not for that day. When a doctor clicks on the date, detailed appointments details are shown in the space below the monthly view. Open (un-booked) appointments are shown in light blue color, and booked appointments are shown in dark blue color with the patient name, hospital name, time, contact number.
There is a Sync button at the top right corner of the appointments screen. Clicking this will synchronize the device with the latest update from the server. This happens via the web service. Once synchronization is done, the updated calendar with new/modified appointments will be displayed to the doctor.
If doctor wants to sign out of the application, he/she can do so by clicking the 'Sign out' button.
Once signed in, the user will remain so even if he/she accesses other phone functions, unless the 'Sign out' button is clicked.
The current functionality is limited to only viewing scheduled appointments. Further planned releases will enable doctors to manage their appointments (cancel, re-schedule) from the iPhone itself. Further, doctor will be able to access patient records and appointment notes from the iPhone itself.
