It's Friday afternoon, two hours before the clinic closes, and those refill requests start. You know the ones: "I'm going to run out of my Vicodin, and I'm going on a trip this weekend. I need it filled today!”   There’s always some excuse. You pull out the calendar and start counting days since the last prescription, and let go any hope of getting off work on time.

Save your Friday evenings with Rx-Calc. Just punch in the last Rx date, and enter the sig: dose, frequency, quantity dispensed, (and refills if applicable) and let your iPhone or iPad do the calculations.

It's not just Fridays; Rx-Calc works every day of the week to calculate min and max run out dates, Min and max quantities for 30 and 90 day supplies.

Half-tabs or weekly dosing? No problem! Rx-Calc has you covered.  Pharmacy calling--mismatched sig vs,. qty? Quick! What's the min and max number of tablets for 90 days given the Sig: 2-6 tab q4-6h ? Just punch it in.

Need to do date calculation?  Easily jump 30 or 90 days into the past or future from any starting date.

It's fifteen minutes before you-know-who's appointment and the doctor wants you to review the patient's controlled substance history from the state's monitoring website. How many Zolpidem did the patient collect this month from her various prescribers? Rx-Calc to the rescue! Using Add Mode, just enter the date of the prescription that you want to start with, and just start entering quantities (and refills if applicable) from the website. Low and behold, your frequent flier is getting enough meds to keep your favorite 50's gigantic movie monster snoring for weeks. The doctor shakes her head; So much for narcotic contracts. That's not going to be a fun appointment.

Anytime you need to calculate a Rx date or quantity, turn to Rx-Calc.  It's the missing feature of your EMR that fits in your hand.
