RV Ready is our first app targeted for recreational vehicle (RV) users. The idea for this app emerged out of necessity since I am an RV owner and keeping track of all the details of setup and take-down were becoming overwhelming. In the rush to get on the road, it was all too easy to miss a critical step. The final straw for me was driving down the Interstate pulling my Airstream and not realizing I still had the metal trailer stand attached to the hitch. When we heard a clanking sound and through the side mirrors saw a car billowing smoke behind us I decided I needed a better way. The cracked oil pan was covered by insurance and no one was hurt, but it could have been a much more serious mistake.

I decided then that I needed to use a checklist. I looked for something that would work. There were dozens of checklist apps available, but none allowed me to categorize my lists and attach photos of important points to remember. I also wanted the ability to view my checklists in portrait mode and flip to landscape with larger font if I didn't have my reading glasses. I wanted a simple app I could use without a lot of bells and whistles.
